SPECS & FITMENT
The Axiorax is a clamshell hinged truck bed rack. It mounts low to the bed rail and lifts open on gas struts with your rooftop tent or other gear still attached, so you can access the bed without unloading the rack.

CROSSBARS
Crossbar spacing adjusts from 30 to 42 in to suit your tent or other gear.

HOW IT WORKS
The rack is hinged at the front. Lift the rear and the gas struts help it hinge open, tent and all, so the truck bed is easily accessible. Safety props hold the rack in place while you work in the bed. Lower the rack and pin it closed for the drive.
TONNEAU COVERS
Axiorax works with roll-up tonneau covers that clamp to the bed rail rather than covering the top of it. The rack mounts on the bed rails and sits above the cover.
MOUNTING & INSTALLATION
The rack mounts in the factory stake pockets when available. On the Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 it clamps in with no drilling. On the F-150 it does require a 1/2" hole drilled into each stake pocket.
It installs with common tools, and nothing on your truck needs to be measured. An experienced installer can expect about 2 hours; allow more time if it's your first. We'll update this estimate once our first owners report their times.

PROVEN ON THE ROAD
Our preproduction prototype was driven about 7,000 miles from Salt Lake City to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, including long stretches of washboard and backcountry road. It carried a roughly 160 lb rooftop tent and was opened and closed more than 500 times with no failures. Read the story.
